The purpose of ISCSC is to bring together researchers, designers, developers and practitioners with the goal to identify and share experiences surrounding construction of smart city systems, city context analysis, its applications and deployment experiences.
Cities are experiencing significant challenges such as efficient energy management, economic growth and development, security and quality of life of their citizens. The main aim behind the smart city concept is to improve the efficiency of key infrastructure and services to create a sustainable urban environment that improves the quality of life and boosts economic development. The essential components of urban development for a smart city should include smart technology, smart industry, smart services, smart management and smart life.
This event is coming as one of the ENERBE project main activities in collaboration with the Projects and Research Center (PRC) at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG). This project “ENERBE—Energy Efficiency through ICT-driven Behavioral Change in Public Buildings of Abasan Al-Kabira” is funded by the European Union through the Regional Program in the Neighborhood for Sustainable Urban Demonstration Projects (SUDEP). It is implemented by the Municipality of Abasan Al-Kabira and concerns the area of Abasan Al-Kabira in Gaza strip / Palestine.
